In reality, it's because Tom Hiddleston is good looking. That's why they love him so. It was just a joke post really. The Loki love drives me insane considering it's not the character they're defending but rather Hiddleston's good looks. And Hiddleston is awesome, I just wish they cared more about the character instead.
I get that. I do agree 95% with you about them thinking him misunderstood being wrong but as we’ve seen on rare occasion he can do the right thing but still his motivations are clear.

I understand why people say it though. Watched Thor recently, and laughed every time Loki was shot down or treated second best. Still, he’s not misunderstood - he does pretty evil things due to feeling unappreciated/being the goddamn trickster god.
